What a fantastic and busy first week back!
We hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year !
We had an exciting first day back on our Hook in Day on Volcanoes. We wrote our own question about what we wanted to find out by the end of term. We looked at the Earth’s layers using an avocado, named each layer and learnt some interesting facts too!
In the afternoon, we looked at the different types of Volcanoes and even made our own! We had a lot of fun causing them to erupt watching the ‘lava’ flowing out.
In maths, we have revised 3 digit column addition with exchanging and solving word problems.
In English, we have been watching the song ‘Lava’ for our writing for this term and wrote a personal response.
Year 3 went swimming today and they all thoroughly enjoyed their first session!
Homework for this week is to revise timetables. 2’s, 3’s, 5’s, 8’s and 10’s.
Well done for an excellent week Year 3. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
Have a lovely, relaxing weekend and we will see you on Monday.
